Carlos Corberán has become the new Valencia CF coach until 2027. The new Valencianista coach arrives at the Club after a successful spell at West Bromwich Albion FC in the English Championship. Find out more about his career here.
It should be noted that the man from Cheste was already linked to the Valencianista club at a very young age. Corberán trained as a goalkeeper at the VCF Academy. Although, with only 23 years old, he started his career in the Villarreal CF youth teams. After playing for Villarreal CF 'C' and the reserve team, in 2010 he had the opportunity to make his debut in the First Division as assistant to Juan Carlos Garrido.
International experience
The new Valencianista coach has experience in different competitive environments of international soccer. The first, was in Saudi soccer at the 'hand' of Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr. In 2016, he debuted as first professional coach at Doxa Katopias of Cyprus. However, after a short stint he signed for Ermis Aradippou.
In 2017, Corberan decided to set course for England, the country where he has spent the main part of his career. He started with Leeds United FC's youth team and, a year later, made his first-team debut as assistant to Marcelo Bielsa. In 2020, he moved to Huddersfield Town as first-team coach, with whom he had a successful career.

In 2022 he joined, briefly (11 games), Olympiakos FC -of the Greek Super League- until he had another opportunity to return to the United Kingdom with West Bromwich Albion FC. With this English team, in his more than 100 games in charge, he stands out for playing -last season- in the playoff for promotion to the Premier League.
